My attempt with homemade chicken stock went so well that I decided to go ahead and try the vegetable stock next. I’ve learned that I can throw my vegetable scraps from other recipes into the freezer and then pull them out to make a stock. I love that! It is very important in our family, my husband in particular, that we are working towards creating less waste, so saving those veggie scraps and reusing them in this recipe was great. I will definitely be doing this again.
